Dr Patrick Stafler

Dr Patrick Stafler was born and raised in Germany. He graduated from Heinrich Heine Medical School, Düsseldorf in 1999. A year later, he presented his doctoral thesis based on research conducted in the field of medical education at Harvard Medical School in Boston. The project was awarded a “magna cum laude” distinction. He then moved to London where he trained in paediatrics and was appointed member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2004.

In 2006, Dr Patrick earned a Master’s of Science (MSc) degree in Clinical Paediatrics at the University College London. During his work experience in London over the course of 10 years, he rotated through world renown hospitals including the Royal London Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

 

He completed his specialist training and was awarded dual accreditation in general paediatrics and paediatric pulmonology in 2009. Thereafter he worked as a consultant at the Royal London Hospital and North Middlesex University Hospital until immigrating to Israel in the summer of 2010.

 

Since 2010, Dr Patrick Stafler has been working as a senior staff physician in the paediatric pulmonology institute of Schneider Children’s Medical Center of Israel and acts as director of the lung function laboratory and the bronchoscopy program.

Since 2017, Dr Patrick has been leading a multi-disciplinary team that specialises in the treatment of children with complex conditions affecting the respiratory and digestive tract. This aero-digestive clinic is the first of its kind in Israel and enjoys close co-operation with Boston Children's Hospital as well as Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

Dr Patrick is a clinical instructor at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine of Tel Aviv University and actively engaged in training and examining medical students and residents. He has published numerous scientific articles in peer reviewed journals and given oral presentations in Israel and abroad.
